Introducing the Oak Brook Project!

Ah, Chicago in the spring...it's 35F! it's 70F! It's 50F! Don't like the weather? Just wait a few minutes, it'll change! While trying to breath in the fresh spring air without catching a cold, we have begun our latest and greatest project - the Oak Brook Project! That's right, folks, we have ventured outside of Chicago and towards the western suburbs (near where I grew up, except, y'know, nicer).

Oak Brook was incorporated as a village in 1958, due in large part to the efforts of Paul Butler, a prominent civic leader and landowner whose father had first moved to the vicinity in 1898 and opened a dairy farm shortly thereafter. Paul Butler's interest in sport was reflected in the Oak Brook Sports Core, which features polo fields, a golf course (which was at one time the venue for the Western Open), swimming and tennis facilities, and other recreational facilities not commonly found in a village of this size. (Wiki Link!) The first thing you will notice about Oak Brook is that there are no sidewalks, giving it that "country club" feel. The second thing you will notice is that the homes are beautiful.

So, needless to say, we are thrilled to be announcing the Oak Brook Project! This is an approximately 4,000-square-foot, single family home built in 1984. This building consists of a masonry exterior and a backyard which backs up to a private lake. Our scope includes a full interior renovation consisting of a new Kitchen, Den, Mudroom, Dining Room, and Living Room. All new windows, a new roof, and new MEP. The 1st floor will be awesome, the 2nd floor will be spectacular - the 2nd floor includes a complete remodel of a Master Bathroom which currently looks like a Roman bath, remodel of the Staircase Hallway, and conversion of a Bedroom into a formal Office. We are also installing some new-fangled lift systems into the attic and are leveling the floors in the attic for safe storage.

Here's the first look!
